Coherex School

Powerful X-ray sources like 3rd and 4th generation synchrotrons are considered the ultimate tools for probing microscopic properties in materials. The continuous improvement of brilliance and coherent flux in modern X-ray sources has led to the emerging of new techniques able to probe physical and chemical properties in materials.

The aim of this 5-days CohereX School is to train students and young researchers on the use of high-resolution coherent x-ray imaging techniques, such as ptychography, coherent diffraction imaging and holography, and on coherence-based spectroscopy techniques, like x-ray photon correlation spectroscopy and speckle visibility methods. Tutorials and examples of the many different scientific fields covered by these techniques will be discussed as well, highlighting the complementarity between the different approaches.
